If you are trying to log in to Evouchers and have not received your SMS two-factor authentication (2FA) code, this article explains the most common reasons and what you can do while you wait.
Why your code may be delayed
SMS 2FA codes are sent through third-party service providers, so occasional delays can happen. This may be due to a temporary outage, congestion with the SMS provider, or a short delay on your mobile network.
If you have requested the code more than once, only the most recent 2FA code may be valid. If an earlier code arrives after you request a new one, use the latest code sent to you.
What to do while you wait
- Wait a few minutes, as SMS delivery can sometimes be delayed.
- Check that your mobile phone has signal and can receive text messages.
- Make sure you entered the correct mobile number when logging in.
- Avoid requesting multiple 2FA codes in quick succession, as this can cause further delays.
- If a code arrives after you request a new one, use the most recent code.
The 2FA code should eventually arrive.
If you are waiting for an email code
If your login code is sent by email instead of SMS, it is still being used as a 2FA code. Delays can also happen if your mailbox provider is queuing incoming messages.
Check your inbox, junk or spam folder, and any other folders your email provider uses for filtered messages.
If the code has not arrived after a few minutes, wait a little longer before requesting a new one.
